Terms of Use

Last updated Oct 12, 2026

The rules for using Maknara, what you can expect from it, and what it expects from you.

Draft. A lawyer has not reviewed this text yet. It will be checked before Maknara opens to real agencies and their clients.

1. Accepting these terms

These terms govern your use of the Maknara website and app. By creating a workspace or using Maknara, you agree to them. If you use Maknara for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your workspace, the members you invite and keeping sign-in details safe. Tell Maknara straight away at security@maknara.com if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Upgrades apply straight away; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Plan prices and limits are listed on the Pricing page. Price changes are announced at least 30 days before your next renewal.

4. Your content

You own everything you add to Maknara, including discovery answers, requirements, evidence and change orders. You give Maknara permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you.

You confirm you have the right to upload the evidence you add, including any messages, recordings or files that involve your clients.

5. Scope pages and change orders

Maknara records what you and your client agree. It is not a party to your contract with the client, and a change order is a record of a proposed or approved change. Whether it is legally binding depends on your agreement with the client.

6. AI suggestions

Maknara uses AI to flag requests and compare them with your baseline. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. Review every change before you send it to a client; you remain responsible for what you send.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload content you have no right to share, or that is unlawful.
  • Do not try to access other workspaces, probe for weaknesses without permission, or disrupt the service.
  • Do not resell Maknara or use it to build a competing product.

8. Third-party services

Connections to services such as Google Calendar, Slack or email are governed by those providers’ own terms. Maknara is not responsible for their availability or for changes they make to their services.

9. Availability and changes

Maknara aims to keep the service available and to give notice of planned maintenance. Features may change over time. If a change removes something you rely on in a paid plan, you will be told in advance.

10. Ending your use

You can close your workspace at any time from settings and export your projects first. Maknara may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these terms, and will give notice unless there is a security or legal reason not to.

11. Liability

Maknara is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Maknara is not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and its total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes and contact

If these terms change in a meaningful way, workspace owners are told by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Questions go to legal@maknara.com.
